ART

My Art

From a young age i always gravitated towards creating things of any kind and because of that i was introduced with art.

I fell in love with drawing instantly and i plan on making that part of my career someday in someway. I love to illustrate people the most even though they prove the most difficult. I try to create more pieces but at the moment I'm using other artists as inspiration to recreate their pieces to get a better understanding of my own art style. I hope you enjoy what i create.

Why i Love this Painting

When you attend art class in school i realized that you really are only introduced to a few artists and their usually the same every time,  anywhere in the world. You learn about the renaissance giants like Michaelangelo or Leonardo but one of my favorites was Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh to me stuck out because his paintings seemed like it was painted through a world of color rather than a world of structure. The first painting i discovered from him was Still Life and it blew my mind how a simple vase of flowers could express so much just in color and how it broke the boundaries of the object it was based on.

Meet the Artist

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade he created about 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of them in the last two years of his life. They include landscapes, still lifes, portraits and self-portraits, and are characterized by bold colours and dramatic, impulsive and expressive brushwork that contributed to the foundations of modern art. His suicide at 37 followed years of mental illness and poverty.
