When I was a teenager, the band I listened to the most to get me through it all was Blink-182. It was a band that got me through the dull moments, the sad ones, the really bad ones but also the happy moments in my life. I owe a lot to them for making my teenager years great as there music provided a soundtrack to it all. I can't repay them for the mark they placed on my life however, the real reason that I'm talking about one of the most pivotal bands of my childhood is that Mark Hoppus has been diagnosed with cancer. When I first heard the news I didn't believe it. I guess it's because when you look up to celebs or icons, you generally think they're invincible but news like this really flip the script on that reality. Cancer sucks, period. It a disease that unravels your whole life and since we have yet to get a cure, it can put a damper on your entire outlook. I write this hoping but also knowing that he'll flip the script on cancer and beat it. If you happen to read this Mark, thank you for your mark on my childhood and I hope to see you onstage ones this is all over. Go send your prayers his way. Ricardo Signing Off
