So on this week's Revisited I wanted to talk about my all-time favorite show How I Met Your Mother. I first discovered it like I discover anything that I love which was by chance. I was in Middle school, shifting through the channels, when I landed on a channel that was airing an episode. I don't exactly remember what episode it was but I did remember that I not only smiled at the heartwarming moments but I also teared up at the sad ones and laugh at the outrageous jokes that hit the punchline every time. At the moment, I couldn't think of a show that had the same effect. The effect of landing everything and pulling at what ever heart string it wanted to. The show was the full package and of course I was hooked after the first episode.

As with every show that I get hooked on, I binge watch every episode and waited for new episodes with baited breath. Of course as with most shows like How I Met Your Mother, It peaked in the middle seasons and slowly dragged itself towards the finish line at the end. However, the peak was truly a peak and the show was exceptional during the middle seasons. However, when it hit the second last season and dragged a weekend long wedding throughout the whole season, I knew they didn't have much left in the tank. As 2014 came the last episode aired and I was disappointed to say the least.

You see the ending kind of undid a lot of what the show was building towards and kind of went back on its word in the the first episode of the the series. It would have been better if they just ended up showing the moments ted had with the girl of his dreams and just end it with him meeting her at the train station like they teased throughout the series. It would of been a subtle ending and a clean one at that compared to the one we got. I get what they were trying to do but it didn't mean it was good and that it was the better option of the two. Hell, I wasn't the only one as many fans complained so much that they ended up changing the ending to a somewhat better version of what transpired originally.

In the end, I was glad that I discovered the show. Sure the ending suck but what ending doesn't really. Theirs always complaints on endings to popular shows, big or small. However, what we should be focusing on is the ride the show took us. We went through the highs and lows with Ted Mosby and his batch of interesting characters that he had the fortune to call friends or really family. I thank the show for the adventures it took me and the memories it gave me and highly recommend watching the series from beginning to end. This show is truly legen . . . wait for it . . . dary. This has been Revisited, thanks for reading. Ricardo signing off
