Topic of the Week - 2021 Thus Far

Well 2021 was fun while it lasted but with all jokes aside, man what a crazy way to start the year. I was eating lunch when my mom told me about it and I couldn't believe a word she was saying of how protesters where literally storming the capital building as if it was the War of 1812 when Britain burnt down the white house but as soon as I turned on the TV that was all that was giving on every news station. I mean 2020 was a crazy year but man, I guess 2021 is trying to top it with this. I'm still even trying to wrap my head around it but I can't, it's just simply crazy and what exactly did this rioters accomplish? Biden is still going to be the next president and the only thing they really accomplished is how dumb they are in conveying whatever they were protesting and showcasing the inequality of how people were treated during the BLM movement with them who literally stormed the capitol building without being stopped. I understand that Biden isn't a great candidate and the stuff around him earning the oval office isn't exactly 100% not shady but to do this? It's just plain stupid and disgusting and it shows the world the real underbelly of america and man I hope for this year that we truly improve our country for the better as one and not divided like we are now. Our actions dictate where we are ending so instead of doing nothing, do something to actually make the world around you better, that shouldn't be something that needs to be said but known.
