In a matter of 24 hours, what was called the European Super league, fell to pieces. It was created not for the fans, not for the well-being of soccer or the love of the game, but to line the pockets of those who see the game of soccer as just a ATM machine. Of course, before this ever came to be, the game of soccer has changed a lot through the years but it still kept it essence of what made it great and why we love it. It's euphoric when you win and it's damn right painful to lose but if this league were to come to be than that would cease to exist and instead give the owners a closed league of the elites where they'll always win, on the field and in their pockets. Thankfully that didn't come into fruition but that does't mean they'll never try again. However, thankfully the fans of soccer will always be there to fight the good fight in the name of the game.
