Ok so I haven't finished this game but still I feel the need to write this as the Topic of the Week. You see, I love the Assassins Creed series and have been enjoying the recent string of RPG like games with Origins and Odyssey which of course made me excited for the newest installment in Vahalla but to be honest, I feel a bit let down. The game follows a viking clan led partly by the protagonist, Evior, to England to make a new life. The graphics are beautiful but the scenery was much better I feel in Odyssey. The character models are great and even the beards look as real as they can be but the character themselves come out as rather stale and boring. The plot itself too isn't anything to come home writing about but it serves it's purpose and my god, is the combat not only clunky but the skill tree itself is rather pointless which leads me to my biggest gripe with the game, you don't feel like an assassin at all or really feel the need to be in a game called Assassins Creed.

The skill tree I feel is laughable since most of the upgrades are useless especially the stealth ones since what is the reason to be stealthy anyways? There's really no downsides nor any rewards like in previous games to be and why would you when you can mow down enemies anyways just as quick and efficiently if you did it stealthy. Hell, it feels like being a assassin makes you hate the game more as it just feels pointless at this point. The game as you can tell is not my favorite at the moment though I still have yet to finish it which of course I won't condemn it just yet but man, I wish this game was truly better than it was and not two steps back as it feels like. If your going to make an Assassin game than do it right instead of make a copy and past RPG with filler missions and rewards that makes you just feel like closing the game as soon as it opens up.
