A common problem that we face today is that we constantly try to compete with one another. However, instead of pushing us to be the best we can be like we think its doing, we actually damper ourselves by pitting ourselves up against people we don't even know. We think by competing with someone miles ahead, we think somehow it will urge us to surpass them in someway. Who we really need to compete against is really ourselves. For example, when you walk in a gym, you shouldn't be staring at the people around you and comparing your chest with their chest or their calves to yours but rather your main focus should be on the mirror in front of you to look at your reflection. There is where the real competition lies and where the real improvement truly begins.

You are your best and worst critic as well as your toughest competitor. In the end, you have to look deep with in yourself and challenge yourself to be better than you were a month ago, a week ago, or even a day ago. That is the only person you should be competing against and really the only way you will truly improve but don't expect it to be a easy road ahead, on the contrary. That step is just the start and sometimes the hardest thing for a person to do on there road of self-improvement. There will be obstacles on your way, days you don't feel right, and moments you want to give it all up but if you look back at how you started and you look back at your reflection knowing that there is still more room for improvement than that is all you need to fuel your hunger to be a better you for a better tomorrow. This has been the Topic of the Week, thanks for reading. Ricardo Signing Off
