Another week is in the books as Autumn rolls in. I always enjoyed the Fall with it's changing colored leaves, sweater weather, and the overall atmosphere. Though I may be a tad bias having been born in the Fall months. My productivity was pretty good to say the least last week. I mostly accomplished what I set out for , though I could do a bit better. I mostly worked and wrote some more pages for my novel. On Sunday, I went with my family to go pumpkin picking. We went to this place called Oats farm which is a nice small farm with pretty good cider donuts from my previous experiences with the place. However, when I went back this year it was rather packed with people and the farm itself had become more monetized than ever with it selling you products like a store catalog and monster trucks races in one of the areas. What was once a small, quiet place to enjoy a family get together, was now "first come first serve, get it while it's hot" type of establishment which is sad to see. Sometimes I hate my generation for it being so fast paced and it's sole intent being to buy experiences rather than enjoy them and take pictures rather than letting the experience ran it's course. You see it everywhere now, whether it be Disney, NYC, or a simple pumpkin farm. People have their phones out, taking pictures with their hands filled with products to clarify their experience was real to not only them, but all their friends and family. When I was kid I always wanted to explore, always had a yearning for it. I read books upon books of epic tales of dangerous adventures. However, the point of those adventures in the end isn't the treasures or the accomplishments, but the journey or the process of getting there. Nowadays, people are more focused on the end result, of achieving something when they did nothing or buying there way to it. In my opinion, thats not how life should be live. Life is supposed to be lived by enjoying the people around you in life and setting and accomplishing your goals. It's not about how many likes you get on your vacation post, or that you tried the best macaroons. It's about the experience and the people you share that experience with. This has been the Weekly Blog, thanks for reading. Ricardo signing off.
