If we didn't think this year could have gotten any crazier, we were wrong. Throughout this year we dealt with the Australian wild fires, Kobe's passing, Covid-19, WW3 possibly, Ufo's, Anonymous returning, Launch America and now the tragic passing of George Floyd who was criminally killed by a police officer who used excessive force to take his life away. It seems 2020 is the perfect storm of flipping the world upside down and were still only half way done with the year. Its crazy to think about how the whole world was wearing rose colored glasses at the beginning of the year thinking this our year however its looking more like nobodies year by each passing day.
In my opinion, things are going to get a lot worse before it gets any better however, and how in the end is it really going to get better? It seems something big happens every month and we all post on social media for a call to action but when the next big thing comes around, we sweep the past events underneath the rug like if we were kids trying to clean our room for a treat. It's sickening because were not solving the problem but more so just addressing it and moving on when another event happens. However, I'm hoping that this is not the case for this year and especially for George Floyd's sake.
We need to take better care of the world around us because we only got one. We fight amongst ourselves yet in the end we are all human beings with feelings ranging from happiness to anger to jealous to sadness. No matter what skin color, ethnicity, or background you come from, you matter to this world and when you see your fellow human being like George Floyd and countless others who lost their life because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time and that some people just like to see the world burn, you should feel angry at those individuals who seek to destroy someone in such a manner.
You shouldn't say nothing nor should you riot and destroy the city around you that natured you. What the world is feeling now is anger and we should be using that anger to prevent what happen to George Floyd from ever happening again through either voting for the right laws to prevent such racism in our system to peacefully protesting against those who want to shut us up. All in all, don't let George Floyd die in vain and be forgotten. Let us fight for him to be the last person to die from police brutality and use this as the first step to making the world a better place for that is what George Floyd would have wanted, what every human would want. A world where you could walk with no fear, live life without having to watch your back and to live in a world with no racism. Please, fight for what is right in the world. Fight for humanity and the worlds sake. This has been the Weekly Blog, thanks for reading. Ricardo signing off
